The Arts Council of Greater New Haven, alongside exclusive media partner the New Haven Independent, present ANDI: Arts, Nightlife, Dining Information, a new app available for the iPhone and iPad, and also for Android phones, that allows users to access a database of events and venue listings for the greater New Haven Region. A first-of-its-kind, regional application, ANDI is a virtual treasure trove of information, allowing both residents and visitors to the New Haven area to find out what’s happening. ANDI is the Arts Council’s brain child, developed in association with MEA Mobile.

Using listings from the Arts Council’s online calendar and dining listings from Visit New Haven, ANDI compiles a list of both arts events and dining locales, sorted through a variety of helpful, user-friendly search options. Interested in what’s happening at a specific museum or gallery? You can search through ANDI’s comprehensive list of venues for each individual arts organization’s upcoming events. Need to find out what’s happening on an exact date you’re visiting the city? ANDI can also sort the event listings through a helpful calendar filter so you can plan your trips into New Haven accordingly.

Furthermore, each individual event listing comes with their own range of options that allow users to explore more. Users can visit the source organization’s website, download directions from Google Maps to the venue, set up a direct phone call to the venue, or share the details of the event through email.

And don’t forget about ANDI’s broad list of local dining spots and nightlife activities, each of which come with the same group of convenient options that allow you to find directions and more information. Interested in going out for dinner? Search through ANDI’s database of local spots to chow down. Find yourself with a specific craving? ANDI’s dining database is sorted by restaurant categories to help you find the precise type of meal you’re looking for.
