Art and Music Week. Experience movement, rhythm,
singing and harmony through a variety of instruments. In the
afternoon, children work with a different professional artist
in painting, building 3-D art, clay-making, collage, and print-making.
Children will exhibit their artwork and musical talents on
the last day. For ages 6-8. July 7-11th. 10 am-2 pm. $225
w/materials. $75 deposit.
Manga Art Week. Cartoonists draw, create comic booklets
and participate in Japanese cultural activities from crafts
to martial arts. A fun and easy way to introduce children
to drawing. No previous experience necessary. For ages 9-14.
July 21-25. 10 am- 4 pm. $250 w/materials. $75 deposit.
Fashion Art Week. Fashionistas experience the world
of fashion through illustration, designing patterns, and sewing
their own creations. Learn fashion illustration in the morning.
Then work with gown designer Lynn Wheeler to select fabrics,
embellish and sew clothing in the afternoon. End the week
with makeover and hair styling ideas, and a special perfume
creating workshop. For ages 11-16. July 14-18. 9 am-4 pm.
$325, w/materials and model fees. $100 deposit.

CAW’s Adventures in Art is composed of eight
one-week sessions designed for 4-6 year olds, young people
entering 2nd–5th grade and 6th–8th grades. Programs
include Marvelous Toymakers, Potter’s Delight, Clay
Animation, Drawing & Painting Adventure, and much more.

Arty Aprons. Using fabric paints, stamp-printing
and stencils, embellish an art apron to wear as a smock or
give as a special gift. Apron and all materials included.

Stick Together: A Family Decoupage Workshop. Preserve
a special collection of book or magazine covers, playbills,
labels, greeting cards, stamp collection, photos by artfully
gluing and sealing them to wooden trays and boxes. You supply
the memorabilia, we’ll supply the wood items and all
other materials. Sunday, July 27, 1-3 pm. $35, $32 members.

Arts in the Garden. Enjoy the pleasure of a summer
evening during this weekly series of participatory arts workshops
held outdoors in the Mary Susan Gawlak Memorial Garden at
Green Street and at the Erin Street Community Garden (corner
of Erin and High Streets). Children under 12 must be accompanied
by an adult. The activities schedule is as follows: Vejigante
Masks-July 2; Steel Pan Drums-July 16; Jewelry Making-July
23; African Dance & Drumming-July 30.

Summer Theatre Program 2008. Missoula Children’s
Theatre Company returns for the Quick Center for the Arts
Summer Theatre Program 2008, with weekly shows presented as
the culmination of an intense week of work with a different
group of participating children each week. July 7-11: The

the Seven Dwarfs. July 21-25: The Wiz of the West.

Take pART! Children’s Program. This program
combines morning gallery and art activities with afternoon
movement/dance (Session 1) or theater (Session 2). Each week
concludes with a performance by the participants. For children
