Formerly Small Space Gallery
Sumner McKnight Crosby Jr. Gallery, a program
of the Arts Council of Greater New Haven, is located at the
Arts Council offices at 70 Audubon Street, 2nd floor. The
gallery features regional artists in group and thematic shows.
Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

The Arts Council of Greater New Haven presents Spectra
2011 in the Sumner McKnight Crosby Jr. Gallery, at 70
Audubon St., 2nd floor. The exhibition will be on display
from Thursday, May 19 through Friday, July 8. An artists’
reception is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, from 5 to 7 pm.
The public is invited to attend.
Spectra 2011 is the annual members show of the Photo
Arts Collective, an Arts Council program whose mission is
to cultivate and support a community of individuals who share
an interest in photography, through workshops, lectures, exhibitions,
portfolio reviews, group critiques, and special events.
Penny Cook, who organizes the annual show, said this year’s
exhibition is highlighted by a diverse variety of genres and
styles that come together to create a “surprisingly
cohesive array of views through each photographer’s
unique lens.”
Participating artists include Mark Andrews, Stephanie Anestis,
Penny Cook, Rod Cook, Peter Craig, Michael Fedikovich, Jim
Fiora, Robert Ford, Matt Garrett, Tracy Hammond, Kenneth Hanson,
Stephen Harris, Sharon Hirsch, Art Johnson, Gillian Marshall,
Roy Money, Marcus Maronn, Hank Paper, Jerry Reed, Mark K.
St. Mary, Tony Sullivan, Frank Teodosio, John Weinland, and
Marjorie Wolfe.
Open to Arts Council members, the Photo Arts Collective meets
the first Thursday of each month at the Kehler Liddell Gallery,
873 Whalley Ave., New Haven.
