You Are Invited to the Royal Wedding | May 19, 12-4 p.m. | Yale Center for British Art
The YCBA will host a screening of the landmark royal wedding of Prince Harry to the American actress Meghan Markle. Mark the occasion with souvenir royal photographs of you and yours and enjoy festive refreshments provided by Hen & Heifer bakery. Cheers!

Lecture: “Hot Dogs & the Great War” | May 19, 2 p.m. | The Knights of Columbus Museum
As U.S. soldiers and sailors deployed to Europe a century ago during World War I, they took with them their great American pastime--baseball. The game was not only a great source of morale for American Expeditionary Forces, but also served to develop rapport with allied troops
Commander David Kohnen of the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I. will recount the WWI-era efforts of Admiral William Sims to form the Anglo-American Baseball League and the popularity the game enjoyed “Over There.”
The event is free and open to the public – and will include a hot dog lunch! The feature exhibition World War I: Beyond the Front Lines is on view until Dec. 30, 2018. More info here.

Pink Martini serves up a delightful mix of new and classic songs – we’ll drink to that!

Celebrate the longest day of the year with concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city. Make Music New Haven welcomes rappers, rockers, beatboxers, spoken word artists, instrumentalists of all types, vocalists, and experimental musicians to join in and showcase New Haven’s vibrant and eclectic music scene. This celebration is open to all: professionals, amateurs, children, adults, choirs, soloists.

Elijah! May 23, 7 p.m. | Bethesda Lutheran Church, 450 Whitney Avenue, New Haven
The Bethesda Music Series proudly present Mendelssohn’s famous and mighty oratorio Elijah, sung by the choirs of Bethesda Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church, and United Church on the Green.
Dr. Lars Gjerde, Director of Music at Bethesda, will direct this farewell concert with choirs, soloists, and orchestra to finish his eighth and final season with the Bethesda Music Series. Admission to the concert is free. There will be a freewill offering to support the next season of the series. A festive reception will follow the concert.
