Following up on the advisory email we sent earlier this week, we are asking you to support HB 5443 so we can unlock millions of dollars for artists, creators, nonprofits, and creative entrepreneurs right here in Greater New Haven.
The Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee of the CT State Legislature is holding a hearing on HB 5443, a bill that would dedicate a portion of Connecticut’s existing meals tax to the Tourism Fund. This would create a stable, recurring source of support for arts, culture, and tourism programs statewide tomorrow.
Submit written testimony before March 11th. Testify, in Hartford or on Zoom, on March 11th. Do both if you can. Our strategy is to flood the zone.
