Through our Greater New Haven Creative Sector Relief Fund, we have helped 420 artists and small arts institutions within our community receive $175,380 in immediate and essential financial assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. But our work isn’t done.
In 2021, the Arts Council, in partnership with the City of New Haven’s Department of Cultural Affairs, relaunched our Relief Fund with a focus on economic and racial justice. Our goal is to help support an equitable, anti-racist recovery for our community and make sure this moment becomes a movement. So far, the fund has so far invested $120,000 in the first 12 recipients with $10,000 unrestricted cash awards.
Your tax-deductible donation will support even more Black, Brown, + Indigenous artists in our region. Our goal is to raise $20,000 during the Arts Awards season. Donations of all sizes make a big difference.
