The Poetry Lounge, April 19, 6:30-8 p.m., Ives Library. 

Are you a poet or do you take pleasure in listening to poetry? If so, join New Haven’s first traveling poetry venue serving New Haven County and the Shoreline. Meet up with other poets and enjoy the relaxed ambience of The Lounge.


Italian Wedding Soup, April 20-May 6 (Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m.), Center for the Arts, Milford. 

Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc., a not-for-profit professional theatre company for family audiences, presents it’s new musical inspired by the memories of growing up in a large Italian-American family.

WESU Record Fair, April 21, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wesleyan’s Beckham Hall, Middletown.

There will also be an early bird special admission, 10-11 a.m. for a fee of $5.
Shop exclusive and discounted WESU swag as well as discounted $1 records an CDs. Live WESU DJs will be spinning records and tunes all day. 

WESU is always accepting record donations to sell or add to our extensive record library at the station. WESU is a listener supported radio station and relies on listeners’ donations to keep running. The biennial Record Fair helps to sustain the station while also providing a fun community setting.

 Center for Independent Documentary Webinar: Legal Concerns for Filmmakers, April 24, 12 p.m.

The Free webinar features entertainment attorney Sandy Forman be discussing concerns to filmmakers such as appearance releases, rights clearances, work for hire agreements, fair use and copyright issues, and collaboration and coproduction agreements. This will be an interactive session where attendees will be able to present their questions (although please keep in mind that Sandy will be unable to give specific legal advice).
